Daily Question 9

Something unusual in this scene (or to be precise the scene right after this) from a famous sitcom. What's unusual?

Question by JoJo

in the next scene, the man takes the ring from Robin and actually proposes to his girlfriend at the table behind them
to quote wiki "During a flashback wherein Robin thinks Ted is proposing to her, it turns out the ring belongs to another couple. That on-screen proposal is real. As explained in a DVD special feature, the real couple were friends of someone in production and were brought in to be extras specifically as a scheme for the man to propose to the woman on-set. For rehearsal takes of the scene, two actors played out the engagement with a prop ring, then for the real take the man from the real couple delivered the "it's mine" line and really sprang a surprise proposal on his startled girlfriend with the genuine ring."

Cracked by Vishal, Vibhu, Arun, Samaadhi and and anonymous quizzer (yes, still).

And in response to Srirams unpublishable comment, wasnt too hard, as demonstrated by it being cracked by people who've never seem HIMYM in their lives. Sorry dude, u didnt make the cut on this one.

Also, check Samaadhis commment for an interesting, and very plausible, theory.

The guy in the white suit and the girl in the corner were extras for this scene the guy was supposed to propose to her on screen. But actually, those 2 were actually together, and the guy proposed in reality to his girlfriend when the cameras were running, so they could get an authentic reaction.

This is a scene from "Something Blue" in himym.Robin sees a ring at the bottom of her drink which was not intended for her, but for the guys seated next to her. It was a real proposal that happened that day... To quote radnor and wiki : Josh Radnor, in his TV Guide blog, reveals that the proposal between the two extras playing the couple was real; the girlfriend's acceptance had to be dubbed in post-production due to her being overcome in emotion at being asked.

The guy in white suit proposed to his girlfriend in the sets of "How I met your Mother" and to quote Jojo, "The whole of America" watched it. And Jojo Saar finds it cute and interesting!! Ooh!! And the girls are supposed to go wild finding that Jojo is romantic.... What fart?? :P

I strongly suspect that this is a conspiracy masterminded by Jojo to get a girlfriend....

Sorry for all the bull, but couldn't help chiding Jojo.. I bet Jojo's words when he sees this comment is "I will sue you" :D No Offence =))
